This is one of my fave ATLA fics ever, if not my fave, and I just realised I’ve never recced it anywhere. Which is a complete tragedy. I love the concept (LANGUAGES!!!), I love the execution (the way the prose changes to reflect perception of language from different characters is so clever), I love it all. So good. Not something that could ever really be done outside of writing, either, which means it’s one of those fics that revels in being fic.
