Dang, but the animation in this ep is SO. GOOD. I mean, everyone always rightfully goes on about the use of colour (all the primaries, the way it goes red and black vs. the natural blue and white, etc.), but this scene, the way light and shadow is used: SO GOOD. The pool being white while his shadow/the splash is black, the way he lights up, just- everything. And like, Yue’s eyes still being blue and. Just. GAH.
plus in B&W Yue’s white hair works so well which makes sense since the scene is really based AROUND her just perfect
