There’s also this constant use of lighting and color that makes it all the more dramatic. there are a lot of scenes done almost entirely in silhouette, and it’s wonderful.
Reblogging for Shen and someone that pointed out the brilliance of this film! A lot of scenes with Shen are done in shadows and rich red colors (fires and embers) as opposed to the scenes with Po that are vibrant and full of color (water and fluidity). Not only for dramatics but for tone as well!
