Things that made 2011 memorable:
- Owl City Concert
This concert was amazing. I never thought I’d finally get to see Adam Young in person. It was like a dream. He was so close and his performance was nothing short of epic. I wish I could go to every single one of his concerts.- Kung Fu Panda 2
Yes, it was memorable. The first movie means so much to me and now the sequel does too. It was worth the wait and the hype and everything else. And it’s just as superb as the original without being a rehash or anything of the sort.- The Royal Wedding
It was tons of fun buzzing about the wedding of William and Kate. I may not be from England, but I figure it’s one of those things that only happens every so often, so it was something I was not going to miss! I loved staying up with my sister all night (watching Kung Fu Panda twice in the process) and then watching the event live in the morning.- 90s Are All That
This might seem like a weird one, but the premiere of 90s Are All That on TeenNick was epic. Seriously, Twitter was exploding with all the 90s kids watching, my sister and I were geeking out and it was just one of those surreal sort of nights. I don’t like to be an outright snob about the decade I was a kid in (I literally became a teenager in 2000), but it felt good having 90s pride that night and being all nostalgic about it.- The Lion King 3D
It was worth it. It was so much fun to have a piece of childhood on the big screen again. That movie is still breathtaking and it’s understandable why it’s considered a masterpiece. And I personally like that the success has prompted the re-release of more films. In particular, I can’t wait for September. Honestly, I’m going to need a lot of intervention or else I will be at the theater every single day to watch Finding Nemo in 3D.- Prep & Landing 2: Naughty Vs. Nice
I first remember, close to this time last year, being excited when I found out there was going to be a sequel. I counted down to the premiere for so long and was not disappointed (you know, minus Magee/Thistleton, but whatever). I’m still not sure if the buzz has even worn off yet tbh. And I’m having a hard time packing up my Christmas stuff because of it. Not that I will pack up my Wayne plushie.
