Also what does it say about my Japanese that I didn’t need a Translator for help with any of those?  It says I can read katakana and the kanji for keiji (detective) and ninja, which isn’t all that impressive.

It’s telling that the Americans think up robots and are all “Okay, we have a police bot, and his friends will be a helicopter and a bulldozer.”  Menawhile, Japan says “Okay, we have a police bot.  His friends will be a soccer bot, a wrestler bot, and a knight!  Now, I want a very-special-episode about whaling featuring a giant cyborg demon whale!  AND MERMAIDS!”
