m00nst1ng3r:

IT WAS A LIE.

Instead, let’s talk about Breakdown, so that hopefully if there’s enough sad posts about Breakdown around tumblr and the guys who make Transformers: Prime might take pity on us and bring him back! (If they do have a tumblr)

Anyway, I honestly wouldn’t have said that he was my favourite character.

He was the character whom I found to be in his own way, unique.

I loved the way he always seemed to be different from the other Decepticons.

Knock Out is vain, Airachnid is simply…AIRACHNID ,Megatron is cruel and domineering, like he should be, Starscream is Starscream (aka the guy who always seems to be at the lowest point in his life in every episode), Soundwave is…uhhhhhhhhhhh…..Soundwave, I guess? Skyquake was loyal, Makeshift was a regular Decepticon, Insecticons have the potential to be awesome if given enough screen time, and the Vehicons are drones.

Dreadwing and Breakdown stood out to me.

I view Dreadwing as one of my favourites as well, even though he’s only appeared in 2 episodes so far. I liked him because while he is loyal to Megatron, he still cared for Skyquake enough to disobey Megatron’s orders and try to avenge his brother. It really warmed my heart to see that he actually went all the way to Earth so that he could find out if his brother was gone. It implied that he at least loved his brother to a point that he probably didn’t want to believe that Skyquake was gone.

Breakdown was someone I really couldn’t identify. He hated Bulkhead, he was at least friends with Knock Out (at least to the degree that Knock Out could trust him), he has been implied to have cared for the Vehicons and it’s implied that he likes/liked Airachnid.

He just seemed like a really nice guy when he’s not on the battlefield.

And yes, I agree with everyone who believed that his death was dishonourable towards him because it wasn’t a fair fight.

If he were to die in my opinion, it should be against Bulkhead, who is Breakdown equivalent in many ways. The fight would be a fair one, cause both of them have a score to settle, and cause we can all agree on it being a fair fight.

When he died, he was in a vulnerable position. His hammer and greatest weapon was trapped in a web caused by MECH I guess, and while I don’t really agree that his lost optic affected his fighting capability, it does count.

The way his remains were shown were equally as horrible. Breakdown didn’t deserve this type of treatment, he really didn’t.

His death was simply a way to create another plot. It’s really sad.

(EDIT LATER)
