IT WAS A LIE.
Instead, let’s talk about Breakdown, so that hopefully if there’s enough sad posts about Breakdown around tumblr and the guys who make Transformers: Prime might take pity on us and bring him back! (If they do have a tumblr)Anyway, I honestly wouldn’t have said that he was my favourite character.
He was the character whom I found to be in his own way, unique.
I loved the way he always seemed to be different from the other Decepticons.
Knock Out is vain, Airachnid is simply…AIRACHNID ,Megatron is cruel and domineering, like he should be, Starscream is Starscream (aka the guy who always seems to be at the lowest point in his life in every episode), Soundwave is…uhhhhhhhhhhh…..Soundwave, I guess? Skyquake was loyal, Makeshift was a regular Decepticon, Insecticons have the potential to be awesome if given enough screen time, and the Vehicons are drones.
Dreadwing and Breakdown stood out to me.
I view Dreadwing as one of my favourites as well, even though he’s only appeared in 2 episodes so far. I liked him because while he is loyal to Megatron, he still cared for Skyquake enough to disobey Megatron’s orders and try to avenge his brother. It really warmed my heart to see that he actually went all the way to Earth so that he could find out if his brother was gone. It implied that he at least loved his brother to a point that he probably didn’t want to believe that Skyquake was gone.
Breakdown was someone I really couldn’t identify. He hated Bulkhead, he was at least friends with Knock Out (at least to the degree that Knock Out could trust him), he has been implied to have cared for the Vehicons and it’s implied that he likes/liked Airachnid.
He just seemed like a really nice guy when he’s not on the battlefield.
And yes, I agree with everyone who believed that his death was dishonourable towards him because it wasn’t a fair fight.
If he were to die in my opinion, it should be against Bulkhead, who is Breakdown equivalent in many ways. The fight would be a fair one, cause both of them have a score to settle, and cause we can all agree on it being a fair fight.
When he died, he was in a vulnerable position. His hammer and greatest weapon was trapped in a web caused by MECH I guess, and while I don’t really agree that his lost optic affected his fighting capability, it does count.
The way his remains were shown were equally as horrible. Breakdown didn’t deserve this type of treatment, he really didn’t.
His death was simply a way to create another plot. It’s really sad.
My next guess is that they killed him to start off his character arc?
I don’t really know. They didn’t have any reason to kill Breakdown other than this.Either that or the rumours are true and that Dreadwing is his replacement.I really hope that they elaborate more about Breakdown’s relationship with Bulkhead, it’s more interesting than any other character relationship in the show to me, since the only thing that was given as a reason was just a fraggin line, for goodness sake.I also think that they’re going to make another ‘transformer-without-a-head-but-can-still-talk-and-live-somehow’ moment. It would be funny to see Bulkhead’s reaction to Breakdown simply being a head.
It would be like Optimus Prime’s reaction towards the Setinel head in Animated (yes I watched Animated, I’ve watched a little bit of each Transformers cartoons except Beast Wars and Beast Machines)
Except Bulkhead would be making really bad puns about his state like, ‘Boy, just look at you! It could cause Megatron to break down’ and then Bulkhead makes a troll face.
I’d love that episode forever.
Even if the scene was just 5 seconds long and then everyone dies.
I’d still love that episode.
Just for that scene.
Don’t pretend you guys won’t love to see a scene like that, either.
Look at this, it’s just some babbles about a scene that might not even come true in canonAlso, if we do get Breakdown back, can we have him and Dreadwing pair up (not in a lovey-dovey way, I’m not the type of fangirl who ships slash or femslash in Transformers, kay?) and have fight scenes similiar to the one in Metal Attraction?
I’d love to see what the outcome would be.
A Bulkhead and Wheeljack vs Breakdown and Dreadwing tag team match sounds quite promising to me.
Is it also okay if I ask someone to draw out that kind of scene? Like either the tag team thing or the scene that is similiar to that Optimus Prime moment in The Return of the Headmster?
Also what will Bulkhead do during the Armada episode without his best frenemy chasing him down and trying to kill him or something
I just gave proof that Breakdown might come back HAHOkay, this is all I have to say about Breakdown right now.
Also, sorry if I give you hope after this, cause all this is just my opinions and theories, not actual things that happen canonically.
Don’t worry, I’m always available for a hug if you need it after reading this.

Okay, that Crossfire review thing I said I would do
