This was done quick and is messy and rushed, but eh. I wanted to write something, so I did.

Summary: TF:P. Knock Out had heard the news before Dreadwing returned to base.

Knock Out had heard the news before Dreadwing returned to base. He had been in the middle of an operation, repairing an electric glitch in an Eradicon’s coolant and heating system. Buried in his work (and his patient), Knock Out was in his element - He was doing more harm than help, but the the drone would leave the medbay alive. Perhaps with a few kinks and bruises, but functional. For now, the Eradicon could entertain him; the medic hadn’t seen a patient in days. (Only Breakdown knew he’d occasionally squeal with delight when the Autobots were up to something, because then drones would be dispatched and the one or two who came back alive needed some heavy duty patching up.)

However, just as he was about to do some actual repair work, the viewscreen behind him switched on. Static cleared and then Knock Out peered back at Soundwave’s enlarged, blank face. “Yesss?” the medic inquired and turned back to his fussing. “I’m with—” He winced as a small spurt of energon nearly hit him in the face. “A patient.”

Radiowaves spiked along the silent officer’s face. Admittedly, Knock Out hadn’t been paying much attention, but when he heard “Breakdown” and “deactivated” in the same sentence, he pulled his bloodied hands from the drone’s chassis and turned to look at the screen, owlish eyes blinking. “Come again?” he said.
