Fuego’s theory : it’s Breakdown’s parts used to make Nemesis Prime, but his spark survives inside the cobbled together transformer as well, and one day Breaky will wake up from spark-stasis and remember who he is.  Because that’s a very kids’ cartoon plot.  And then Breakdown will reunite with Knockout and Knockout will have Breaky’s spark in Sweet Rims’ body.  Until he gets reupgraded again with a little sexy surgery from filthy car doctor.
And then by my addendum to my theory, Breakdown will be a triplechanger.  His two alt-modes : truck, and larger truck.
