Ok so The Dragon Warrior is the grand master of Jade Palace. He and The Furious Five have protected Valley of Peace for decades and now they are looking for warriors to carry on their legacy. Shifu, for one, is an obvious choice. He’s the adopted son and apprentice of Master Tigress. His only friend is the Jade Palace cook, a young goose named Ping, the adopted son of Master Po.
Meanwhile, Oogway is a young turtle who lives with his sister and brother in Valley of Peace’s riverbank. Oogway and Shen are simple fishermen, Mei-Yee their goat sister is a soothsayer. Every season, The Dragon Warrior would summon her to the Jade Palace to read the fortune of the whole valley. This time, she has a vision that the new lord of Gongmen City and his wife will attack with their wolf army to take Valley of Peace’s natural resources by force and destroy kung fu. But Po is too sick to fight an army, and the Furious Five are getting old, so they decide to choose a successor for Po, which of course turns out to be Oogway.
Then the rest follows the story of the first movie, mixed a little with the second one. Shifu kinda gets jealous, Oogway and Mei-Yee befriend Ping, some mother/son angst, Shen’s inner conflict about his evil parents, Po and Tigress have a wisdom-talk under the peach tree… Not sure if it’d work, but I think it’s pretty cool.
