THIS IS THE NOTAN SHIT I WAS TELLING YOU ALL ABOUT.
I really love this style and Notan might be my favorite medium. Basically I took a 6x6 square and i made this out of it by cutting it with an exacto blade. You have to use every piece of the paper and you can not overlap any pieces.
The story I chose was Avatar: The Last Airbender. I have all four nations represented on the board, including main characters and animals from each nation that either helped teach the benders how to bend or that are very important to the nation.
Including research, notes, thumbnails, refined thumbnails, rough and this completed composition, it took me over 30 hours to complete.
