bare-nok:

Lady Iron Dragon & Lord Garmadon once became engaged in a particularly nasty battle whereupon the ending was decided as victory in their favor as their enemies scattered in the wind after witnessing Lord Garmadon tear out the throat of their leading general, of which Garmadon did with his own teeth. Koko had seen Garmadon commit this action, but she almost couldn’t believe it. She knew the man that was capable of such gentle, loving touches to her. He couldn’t possibly have done that… could he?

After the last of their foes vanished into the distance, rumbles of thunder broke through the sky & rain began to pour down onto the scarred earth. Garmadon froze completely, only moving as to toss the mutilated body of the vile general into the mud. Koko dropped her bow & she quickly approached him from the back, a cold sweat building on her brow, it mixed with the chilled rain rolling down from her hair. Before she could address her companion, Garmadon removed his helmet, glanced at it for a few moments, only able to observe his own grim reflection, & then violently tossed it besides the general’s prostrate form.

Koko finally built up the courage to place a hand on his back & called out his name, trying to break him out of whatever stupor had a hold on him. Garmadon turned & snapped at her, his eyes were crazed like a caged, wild animal - his mouth was still even covered in blood. Koko trembled in horror as she no longer recognized the man before herself. She always feared there was something more - something evil - inside him & now, she was face to face with this monster, whether or not she was ready for it.

Art trade with @chibi-skull-studios of her version of Garmadon in my style.

I kinda drew this as if this were at the end of the movie, except Koko let’s Garm into their family hug. She only smacks him on the chest in warning so that Garm goes easy on their boy lol. At the end of the day, Koko will always be a super protective mom, even when dealing with Lloyd’s father hah!

I hope you like my take on your Garm & I’m sorry, I had to draw those fangs! I love love looove~ those on him!!

Enjoy, bud! :3

starkravinghazelnuts:

I’m getting mighty concerned that there is a possibility A4 will end with all the original Avengers dead.

Except for Tony.

Worse? It’ll have been “Tony’s fault.”

In Age of Ultron, Ultron warned: There’s only one path to peace: The Avengers’ extinction.

But, let’s remember: Tony was never technically an Avenger.

Tony Stark: “’Tony Stark not… Not recommended?’ That doesn’t make any sense. How can you approve me but not approve me? I got a new ticker. I’m trying to do right by Pepper. I’m in a stable-ish relationship.“
Nick Fury: ”Which leads us to believe at this juncture we’d only like to use you as a consultant.

Tony reminds us of this in The Avengers

Tony Stark: ”The Avengers Initiative was scrapped, I thought. And I didn’t even qualify.“

He also doesn’t mention himself when referring to the team:

Tony Stark: But, let’s do a head count here. Your brother, the demi-God; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins […]

And then this was Tony’s biggest fear in Age of Ultron:

Tony Stark: “And I’m the man who killed the Avengers. I saw it. I didn’t tell the team, how could I? I saw them all dead, Nick. I felt it. The whole world, too. It’s because of me. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t do all I could.
Nick Fury: “The Maximoff girl, she’s working you, Stark. Playing on your fear.
Tony Stark: “I wasn’t tricked,I was shown. It wasn’t a nightmare, it was my legacy. The end of the path I started us on.”

Tony’s vision still hasn’t come true, because the original Avengers are still alive. What’s more? Is the vision came from the Mind Stone itself. Not from Tony’s PTSD. Thor confirms this: “[The Maximoffs’] powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they’re nothing compared to what it can unleash.”

Which means? What Tony saw could’ve been legitimate prophecy. Just like Thor foresaw Ragnarok.

Now… I do think there’s a chance all of this could get subverted, but it’s still an alarming picture unfolding before us.

Especially when coupled with the fact Thanos and Tony have some creepy parallels going on…

… and Thanos was asked at the very end…

What did it cost?

Everything.”

And Joe Russo warned us:

“This is it. I mean listen. Thanos is an unstoppable villain. He’s virtually invincible. He’s highly intelligent. He’s genius-level intelligence. He’s like the Genghis Khan of the universe. And to stop him is going to cost them a lot. And they’re going to have to decide whether it’s a price that they want to pay. That’s really what these movies are about. […] Be prepared. We really want the audience to be prepared going into these movies. There’s going to be a lot of surprises. There’s going to be a lot of humor. And there’s going to be a lot of heartbreak.”

If they have Tony say that same line, that it cost him “Everything,” it cost him his family, I will scream.

“There have been moments, particularly during Spider-Man: Homecoming where I’ve doubted my capabilities. We all have doubts. Robert has been really great, he’s been there during a lot of this. And he pulled me aside one day and said, ‘You know, you got this, this was meant to be. I had the same feelings doing Iron Man, the same anxieties, but know that they picked you for a reason - because it feels right, it works. It’s not about how good you can do the web-slinging or the stunts, it’s about the personality you bring to the character.’”

Tom Holland revealed how he got over his Spider-Man “doubts” following a frank chat with Robert Downey Jr. (x)

What if Asgardians didn’t sneeze. Like. They just Never Evolved that function. And then Thor’s just talking to Tony one day and then he sneezes half-way through his conversation and Thor is just like? ?? What?? What the fuck?? THE Fuck???????!!?!??!

Now I’m just thinking of all the other involuntary actions humans do that would just seem absolutely fucking absurd to Thor. Yawning. What the damn hell are these humans doing with their mouths, why are they showing me their tonsils like that???? He sees Bruce throw up one day and he’s like jESUS FUCkIGn ChriST WHY ARE YOUR INSIDES COMING TO THE OUTSIDE SOMEONE FUCKING HELP HIM. Stretching. Thor was just having a normal conversation with Steve after sparring and then suddenly he? Is pulling himself apart as far as he can go???????????????? Thor tackles him because he is afraid that Steve’s strength will literally mean he tears himself in half?? And then Steve acts like Thor is the one being weird here????? Humans are fucking crazy Heimdall honestly take me back home.

So the subplot of Holes is that Kate Barlow deals with the politically-sanctioned execution of her black boyfriend—who unlawfully kissed a white woman who was in love with him!!!—by becoming a serial killer who targets racist/sexist white dudes who harassed her, were rejected, then went after her boyfriend as revenge from the depths of the “friend zone”.

Go off Louis Sachar, let em know!

Don’t forget the main plot was a damning satire of the brokenness and inherent racism of the American justice and prison systems! Louis Sachar does not fuck about

It always fuck me up that older people don’t understand how this story is as essential to most american children as Gone with the Wind or Mary Poppins was.

unironically, this is one of the best books/movies for young people that exists

Kissing Kate Did Nothing Wrong

And the technical writing of Holes is perfect. Like, it’s one of the most technically-perfect books ever written. Basically any plotting or pacing or characterization issue you’re having, read Holes and really study how Sachar did it. THE LIZARDS! THE LIZARDS.

the twisty prophecies! the lizards! the lipstick! the humor! this book doesn’t play. a true classic.

not to mention the redeeming act that breaks not one but several intergenerational curses is that of love and care between two boys who have been products and victims of said corrupt & racist system

Hey imagine this:

Tony returns to Earth with Nebula four years after the snap. During his time in space, he finally comes to terms with Peter’s death, and is determined to reverse it. When he arrives and connects with FRIDAY, she plays him, among other things, a four-year-old voicemail. Tony doesn’t recognize the caller id or the slightly baritone voice at the other end. The caller tells Tony not to freak out about the aliens and that he will find a way to save Earth, because he’s Iron Man. The voice is booming with pride and encourages Tony to build a kickass new armor, maybe this time with those retro-reflective panels for a proper stealth mode. Tony feels a little guilty for not remembering the caller at the other end.

When he returns the call, another unfamiliar voice answers. Tony hangs up without a word because he has bigger things to worry about. After a week of rest, he dives nose first into Avengers business, trying to find a way to undo the catastrophe.

One day, he’s on lunch break when FRIDAY announces that there’s a woman waiting at the Compound’s lobby to see him. Tony steels himself for the inevitable confrontation with May Parker - she learned about her nephew’s fate from Steve and had stayed away until now, Tony thinks. He mentally rehearses the lines in the lift: He will do everything in his power to bring Peter back.

When he arrives at the lobby, May Parker isn’t there. Instead, there is a blond, middle-aged woman waiting by the empty reception. Her hair is tied in a messy bun, loose strands spilling over her shoulders. Her eyes are red and swollen; there are dark circles underneath and her cheeks are damp. She had been crying.

Tony approaches her cautiously and says, “Can I help you?”

She gives him a vacant look and Tony hates the way her shoulders sag. It reminds him too much of Charlie Spencer’s mother. “You called. Last week, your number rang but you didn’t say anything,” she says. Her voice sounds hoarse and Tony knows she had spent hours screaming herself raw. That’s what he had done on Titan until he passed out.

“I’m sorry for your loss. Whoever you’ve lost. I am doing all I can and–”

She cuts him off. “Where did they both go, Mr. Stark? It’s been four years. I want to see my children again. Please.” Her voice breaks and tears fall, unrestrained.

Tony reaches forward and pats her shoulder, silently willing her to accept his reassurances and promises. He will fix this. He mentally recalls the same words, practiced over and over again, sometimes in front of the mirror and at other times before inconsolable loved ones who watched their fathers, mothers, spouses, siblings, pets all turn to dust.

Before he gets the first words out, his eyes glance down at the woman’s hands. His heart stops. The words immediately leave Tony and he sinks to his knees, breaths short and speedy, as he crumbles once again under the weight of his failure.

The woman is wearing on her left wrist a pink Dora the Explorer watch. It’s limited edition.

Favourite MCU* moment, go!

I’ll start. Mine was the first time Tony suited up and took the Mark 2 armor for a test drive. That entire scene was pure optimism and it was priceless and genuinely makes me happy. 😍

*By MCU I mean the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise that began in 2008 with Iron Man and The IncredibleHulk.

one-on-one fight between tony stark and thanos in infinity war. tony was a fucking Badass Motherfucker. kicking names and taking ass 😎

I have two:

  • The walking scene with Tony in IW when that fuckin suit was wrapping itself around his body. It didn’t help that it was is in slow-mo too, but oh my god!
  • Pretty much the last fighting scene in Age of Ultron when it was Tony and Thor, when the city was falling Tony had the whole fucking city on his back! Idk about you but that moment was heavy af cause it just proves that Tony carries so much shit on his shoulders.
@kay-cas19 woah. that second one is Deep af. i am shook. i never thought about it that way before asdhfkdkal

Once again, Tony was right. He was just wrong about who that suit of armor was. It was never Ultron.

It was him all along.
