a few of my favorite soft Tony™ moments include
- Tony telling the nurse to keep the TV at Downton Abbey because Happy loves that show :(
- Tony helping that lady that fell down in IW despite all the chaos happening because he just cares. so. much. he didn’t even think about it, it was instinctive
- also connected to that, telling the others to help the people in the car crash
- when he gave harley all those gifts and science supplies at the end of IM3 and even bought his sister a replacement L.E dora watch !!!
- he mentions that time peter got a churro from that old lady he helped which shows that tony actually listens to peter’s voice mails??? or at least is constantly updated via happy??? i jUSStttt those are A LOT of voice mails and messages!
- the suits he builds for peter are amazing but also reek of protective father syndrome
- telling wong to look after bruce while bruce is having ehem performance issues ehem lol BUT he genuinely looks so concerned for bruce and wants him to be safe :(
- science bro reunion in IW was short but sweet and you could tell how concerned and worried he was for bruce? and that hug <3
- every time he calls Pepper honey :(((((( like, he isn’t trying to be a sweet talker, it’s just second nature to him at this point (their last phone call conversation, his voice with that reassuring “honey” but y’all know he’s a wreck inside </3) i dont normally care for pet names but this is just so genuine
- his little interactions with his friends aka dum-e, u, butterfingers and jarvis :( even when he’s being a dick to the bots, it’s still so soft cuz he actually keeps them around because they really are his friends??? he has almost full-on conversations with them! bonus: he built dum-e when he was young and decided to just keep it :(((( he doesn’t have too many people friends so how about some bot pals instead :(
- he calls harley his friend so add that to his “people friends” list.
- burying his head in the crook of rhodey’s neck when they finally found him in the dessert isidufajnkdfasdfak
- that necklace he gives Pepper at the end of IM3? oh nothing, it just has the pieces of shrapnel from his chest so pretty much akin to him giving a piece of his HEART to her, no biggie
- “She was already perfect.” wow someone stab me instead hahaha
- he designed each of the OG avengers their own floor in the Stark Tower. no, this ain’t fanon, this ain’t something that only happens in fanfic, this is canon ladies and gents and i am a glass case full of emotion
- he reads and keeps all the fan mail kids send him JUST FUQ ME UP INSTEAD
- he honestly looks so domestic in Barton’s farm house lol that plaid shirt is everything
- tony and rhodey after that airport debacle. tony quickly creating something to help rhodey because that’s what he does, he fixes stuff. tony walking with rhodey and kneeling when rhodey fell down. tony looking at rhodey with so much guilt but so much love. still trying to joke around despite how shity they’re both feeling. :(
- calming pepper down when she is (understandably) freaking out after being Extremis-fied. she was scared that she’ll burn him but he is so reassuring and concerned and just watch this entire scene pls listen to his voice and look at his expressions. It is peak TONY SOFTNESS. He really needs to change the “playboy” in that “Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” line
Soft Tony is the best Tony.
- When he immediately went to calm down Strange after he saw Strange acting weird. He spoke so softly and reassuringly that he was alright. Ugh my heart.
- How he was so damn excited about his dream about having a little kiddo???? He was practically bouncing.
- His smile when he looks at the “Proof that Tony Stark has a heart” gift????!!!!!! SOFT.
- How he offered to fly Coulson to see his cellist girlfriend?? KEEP LOVE ALIVE. (bye)
- Wait, I thought of more. He makes smoothies for the teeeaaammm. (I love little details like this.)
- HE HANGS STOCKINGS FOR JARVIS AND THE BOTS AT CHRISTMAS.
- It’s probably not canonical, but he invited Peter to his NBA finals party.
- He fully funded an entire room of MIT students to finish their research projects because he believes so strongly in the future and giving kids opportunities.
- when he first started working on the mark 2 and went to look for Rhodey because he just wanted to tell his best friend all about his newest, most badass project
- he straight up tells happy “i miss you” when they’re on a video call together
- he was literally DYING but he calls Dum-E “good boy” when the bot hands him his first reactor. dying, but still making sure his bots know how much he loves and appreciate them
- he values all the time he has with Pepper!! Coulson wants to talk to him? umm sorry no, “i have a date”
- doesn’t want to hurt Aunt May’s feelings even though her baking is, quite honestly, terrible
- takes the time to listen to people when they come to him – he could have walked away from Miriam Sharpe when she approached him. but he cares so much. even just one person could make such a huge impact on him
- the soft way he looks back at Pepper as she’s leaving the lab with the old arc reactor in her hands
- “hello Deere”
- the way he genuinely feels bad for hurting Bruce/Hulk when he has to subdue him with the Hulkbuster armor. his little “i’m sorry”
- and, of course, “yay!”
- Also when Tony is saving Pepper when she’s crushed under debris in IM3 “A little more, baby” S O F T
- When Steve says he’ll miss Tony and my boy is literally blushing and his little smile and god damn they are so cute
- Also in the farm house when they’re standing so. Close. To each other in the hallway and Tony just has that same little smile
- When peter is filming his little video diary and he’s all embarrassed and Tony’s all “Hey Hey Hey, don’t worry I’d do the same thing probably” SOFT DAD
- Pepperony in the Park!! The entire scene is just!! So!! Pure!!
- “I should promise you. No more surprises” and the way Pepper is just grinning at him cuz she knows she has a soft boy too
- Sadder but when he lands in the desert after escaping captivity “not bad” boy you just… fell like 500 feet how are you still so soft
- Tony Stark is the softest fight me about it

tony stark: is a villain for the weapons that obadiah sold to the bad guys despite immediately getting upset about it and confronting him about it
steve rogers: throws an entire trailer at peter without knowing if he has super strength
tony stark: says that they need to hold wanda accountable for her mistakes
steve rogers: gets praised for saying she’s “just a kid” in defending her horrendous mistakes despite her age and the destruction she caused before
tony stark: is a villain for bringing peter to “web them up” and making peter leave the battle the moment he gets hurt
wanda maximoff: never has to own up to working for hydra, manipulating every member of the avengers, or triggering the hulk into destroying a civilian city under her control, joining alongside ultron until she does one good thing, essentially being the cause of all the death and destruction in aou, and eventually not being able to control her powers in lagos that she previously had total control over, which resulted in deaths upon deaths, and also gets to watch the hulk take all the burn and blame for the city she made him destroy
tony stark: literally is held accountable for every single action made by himself along with maximoff and every other avenger, tries his hardest to work alongside ross and 117 countries that all demand superhero registration through the accords as voted for in the UN, despite knowing how much a lot of his team would reject such idea
wanda maximoff: is just a 26 year old kid!
tony stark: is a villain for trying to find a middle ground between selfish team members who refused to be held accountable for being dangerous people and the 117 countries around the world that want them to be held accountable since they’re all powerful & dangerous people (a lot of which have bad histories, see: wanda) who shouldnt be allowed to just freely use their powers when they clearly pose to be a potential threat to the public
everyone else: gets to do shit
tony stark: is a villain for doing similar shit while also being the only one who fucking cares

kung fu panda 3 rewrite
@lemonadesodai rewatched this movie a few days ago after having only seen it once before and not remembering much about it. i adored the second one (might write a review on it) and was excited for the third, and while it wasn’t terrible by any means, i was kind of shocked at how lackluster it was upon seeing it again.
the main problems with the movie revolve around the fact that, because the second movie was so darn excellent, it was also extremely realistic and gritty, and i suppose some upper directors told the crew to reel it back a bit and bring it back into the family friendly zone. while i get why they did this and i probably would’ve been a bit overwhelmed if we had another super dark movie after the second one, it really is a shame that so much of the cool potential got cut out of a fear of it being too much, and also that in trying to make it more lighthearted, the jokes felt pretty forced.
so while writing this i tried to make it still have the friendly, upbeat feel to it (obvi i can’t write in every gag/line of dialogue but assume some funny stuff’s in there), while still incoorperating the more serious themes without them becoming overshadowing.
