the fact that tony was stabbed with his own weapon is about 84928038 levels of fucked up if you consider his history
Damn when you think about it the closest things to have almost killed Tony have been his own weapons/inventions.
In Iron Man, he got hit with shrapnel from a Stark Industries missile, then he got blasted when the arc reactor went kaboom. In Iron Man 2, he was slowly dying from palladium poisoning (from the arc reactor he put in his chest). In Iron Man 3, there was the whole Extremis mess, which Tony helped with when he cracked Maya’s formula while hungover. In The Avengers, the portal only opened up because of the Industrial Arc Reactor at Stark Tower (which was used to power the Space Stone) and then he almost died when he flew his own ass into space. In Age of Ultron, Ultron was, in part, due to Tony’s technological interference (and Ultron’s body was largely constructed by Tony). And then in Infinity War getting shanked with his own shiv.
So… what I am getting from this is:
The only person who can kill Tony Stark? Is Tony Stark.
